July!

Sheesh it's been a while since I've updated. Mostly we've been at the beach! The girls and I drove up to Cambria for 4th of July. We took a pit stop for dinner in Ventura with my friend Sara, hubby Scott and their daughter Amy (she's 4). It was a lovely little getaway! Gramma Ata took good care of us! We had so much fun. Brian had to work so he came up on the train on the 3rd.. They loved being on the beach when the fireworks leaped into the sky and lit up the ocean. Harriette kept yelling BOOM! Brian had to work the next day so we drove home right after! (Yes we know we are crazy)!

We have been at the beach, the park and the mall this summer! Molly started swim classes again this week. All three of us are taking a Mommy and Me Yoga class in August!  My b-day was a a few weeks ago -Brian took off a few days and the entire family just chilled - it was great - naps and everything! We took the girls to Clearman's Village for lunch. They loved throwing peanut shells on the floor, cheese bread and shirley temples (just like I did when I was a little girl!) 

This week we had a feral mama cat with 3 kittens in the corner of our yard. We caught all of them (humane cat trap for the mom cat) and took them to the Animal Shelter. The girls wanted to keep the kittens of course but were very good through the whole situation. Harriette has been campaigning for a dog big time (we read Fancy Nancy and the Posh Puppy a lot) but she's got a long way to go in the responsibility department before that could happen. 

The girls both start school on Sept. 7 - it's not that far off. Whole new world with both girls in school. Harriette will be going to Rainbow Preschool just like Molly did. Molly 1st grader on the big kid playground. For now we are just going to enjoy playing and having a wonderful summer!
