Summertime is Here

Last Saturday (June 20) the family drove to Bakersfield for a surprise pool party for Gramma Bev. It was at Gramma's friends Karen and Greg's house. She was very very surprised. And by the way, Karen is just the most amazing person you have ever met....a very good friend indeed.

Gramma's friend Kathi is pictured here with Harriette. Love the dress (thanks John, Leigh & Nico!) Kathi is a grandma to 3 boys so she loves our girly girls.

Molly spend the entire time in the pool. Karen's pool has a little shallow shelf so Molly floated around in there (with mom & dad watching like hawks of course). She is doing very well with her swim lessons...this week she went under water and didn't scream for a towel. She is such a mermaid!

Last night we celebrated "Uncle" Mike's birthday (Mike is my cousin but Molly calls him Uncle Mike). All four of us joined Mike & Trista at Disneyland. We were there quite late and at the end of the night, both girls left in their jammies. Molly went on "The Fast Train" with Mike & Trista while Bri & I watched HarBear (ok and we ate chicken nuggets too). We all went on Pirates together and finally fireworks were going off as Mike, Bri & Molly went on the teacups.

This morning we went to Manhattan Beach. Harriette again modeled for the Designer Baby Clothes by Baby Lulu catalog. We received as payment another great outfit! Good thing too because she is growing out of everything very quickly (Molly too - she's already in 5T stuff and she's not even 4!) I keep checking the Baby Lulu website to see if she's made it to the web (I think what she was modeling a few months ago is coming out in the fall).

Really looking forward to this weekend...we finally have a weekend to hang out and not be obligated to any activity! We have been so busy - we flew up to Shinglesprings (about 1/2 hr from Sacramento) for my sister's bridal shower at the end of May (LOVE Terry's family!!) and then we had another shower at Casa Calderon on June 13 (Gramma's Bev's actual b-day) and lots of friends and family in town. Next weekend we are going to Cambria for July 4! Can't wait! Nothing like it. Can't wait to be sitting on the beach and looking at fireworks.

Welcome to Molly & Harriette's New Site!

Good Day Everyone! I finally got this working! www.mollyroth.com is now a blog (and soon I'll get www.harrietteroth.com working). I can update this a little easier (I think I said that on the first post but I didn't have it working then). This photo was taken on June 20, 2009 in the backyard. Molly is wearing her "Rock and Roll Dress" she picked out.

Harriette is now 13 months! Her first birthday was great - surrounded by friends and family. She is really crawling fast now. Has almost 10 teeth now (top molars are coming in nicely). She is smiling, mimicing, cruising, walks with assistance, lots more vocalizations and great big belly laughing! She was born with some large skin tags on her ears and we are having them removed on July 9.

Molly finished up her 1st year of Rainbow School preschool. We miss our friends and teachers (especially Miss Tami) already. Now she is taking swim lessons at Belmont pool. She is so comfortable in the water. So summer is here and we are planning lots of play dates with friends, visiting lots of parks and of course Disneyland! Molly is tall enough (over 40") to go on Big Thunder Mountain, Star Tours and Soaring Over California. She loves the "Fast Train". Star Tours was a "little bit scary" and she loved Soaring.

Well I think this will be great - more updated photos and updates on the girls! I will get a gallery up as soon as I figure it out (Harriette on the 7th - photos of her first year taken on the 7th of every month was really) and holiday/old photos of the girls and stuff from the old website I'll get up.
