All healed up!

All healed up. New bone growth. Still sensitive and could break again if she isn't careful. She's not careful so I'm a bit worried. She's fallen 3 times in the past week alone! Physical therapy starts on Monday. She kept her cast. Her doctor even signed it! She slept with it last night which I thought was interesting. She's such a trooper. I'm so proud of her. Now why can't those Tangled Dresses hurry up and get restocked in her size? That's what she wanted as a healed arm gift! The arm is a bit stiff but she's moving it and getting back to normal.

Only 7 more days until the pink cast comes off. Molly can't wait to get her arm back. We went for a quick check up on Jan. 6 and her pediatrician Dr. Escueta gave us a copy of her initial x-ray. This is the x-ray that sapped all my strength and started the tears on Dec. 8. It was a crazy break but at least a clean break. It's healing so well and she had a few really hard days with itching and crying but she's back into action now. She's climbing in and out of her top bunk bed. Brian's coworker (Michele) was so sweet and found a waterproof sleeve for bath time (didn't work when she had the bandages on but with the cast, it's a breeze to take on and off). 

Harriette and Molly have been playing with all their ponies from Santa. There's a ton of them and it's really fun to hear them come up with elaborate story lines. Often stories involving baby ponies wanting their mama. I get confused because I think they are calling me. I come over to inquire and they say "No not YOU." 

Molly woke up not feeling great today so she stayed home from school. She was tired and said she had a headache but I think maybe she just needed a resting day so that's what we did (along with homework for her and laundry for me). Tomorrow is another day.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

 Happy 2011 Everyone! The last few weeks have been fun, challenging and busy. Highlights:

• On Christmas Eve, we went over to Liz & Jim's house and saw the whole MacDonald clan. Lots of fun and good food! The girls love their cousins!
• Molly has been asking for a mermaid tail. Not just asking but writing about it, drawing it at home, at school, in a letter to Santa. Naturally Santa wouldn't deny a strong request! She wears in in the tub. 
• Harriette asked for a doggy and was pretty happy with toy doggies and lots of My Little Ponies! 
• Auntie Bo & Gramma Bev joined us for a few days. Lots of fun. 
• Ayoola (Auntie Bo's friend from college came over to dinner and got to enjoy us playing with our new XBOX360 with Kinect (it's AMAZING!). AND we introduced the grammas to Skype! Way cool! Auntie Linda (Awie) dropped by on Christmas day (her birthday) and she got to talk to Gramma Ata on Skype for the first time too!
• Gramma Bev, Bri & the gals drove up to Hollywood to visit Buzzy's and walk over to PINKS. We waited a very long time to have a really good hot dog. A lot funner when you are younger and a single couple but only because of the line! I naturally took lots of photos of the girls while there! The new photo at top with the brick wall (LOVE that brick wall) is at Brian's work. Fun day before a hard one.
• Molly has a new PINK cast. She was very brave when the pins came out. It was a hard day but it was over quickly then we went for ice-cream with Haley, Danielle & Amy!
• Molly is back at school this week and she is Busy Bee of the Week - she gets to share a book, toys and basically talk about herself a lot! Getting back into the swing of things now! Harriette & I are getting some good time in together. We went to the park and had a blast today!
• Cast is coming off Jan. 19 - I know, so soon! "I want my arm back" is for sure a phrase we hear around here a lot!

Happy New Year Everyone! It's going to be a great one. I know it. I can't wait to see what these girls do next. They are so smart, beautiful, charming, bold, loud, and fun. Both girls singing Wham's Last Christmas for sure a highlight of the winter break (OK they are still singing it constantly!)
