Molly the 5 Year Old Girl

October 7, 2010: Afterschool with Emberlynn and Sydney (outfit in the car!)

Bibbity Bobbidy Boutique at Disneyland

 Disneyland on October 7, 2010 - Molly's 5th Birthday

Big Girl Bike!

It was days of celebrating! On Thursday, October 7, 2010, Molly woke to balloons, streamers and Tinkerbell decor, gifts AND Auntie Bo who had flown in from Sacramento on Wed night. Gramma Ata and Cappy joined Molly, Harriette, Auntie Bo, mom & dad for quick breakfast (and some presents) then we all took Molly to school (sans Cappy of course). She had a whole parade to drop her off. At noon, Gramma Ata, Auntie Bo and mom (yes me) greeted Molly with a "5" princess crown and her new Tinkerbell outfit and wings of course. She did a quick change in the car and became a celebrity - all of her classmates were shouting "Happy Birthday" and "How did you change so fast" and lots of hugs!

We made it over to Disneyland in no time and we stopped for a quick bite to eat (who can resist a bat shaped cookie with a Mickey Mouse face I ask you?!) Then we headed over to Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique in Fantasyland where Molly was transformed into a serious glitter fairy! I cried - seriously. She was just so beautiful and so glittery and so BIG. While we were on our way to Disneyland, it turned 12:22 - her birth time. It seems likes it was yesterday and a million years ago.

After the awesome beauty treatment, we went on Fast Train (Big Thunder Mountain), Pirates, Haunted Mansion (decorated like The Nightmare Before Christmas) and finally the Tree House. It was so much fun!

Headed home to have pizza with dad, Harriette and Cappy too. Had to finish homework but opening more presents helped! Gramma Bev drove in from Bakersfield and got to have dinner with us too. Molly was thrilled. Off to bed...no time for cake but the day had been so much fun it was OK plus more celebrating to follow!

Friday...school and baking cupcakes. Family filled the house and we finally got to have some cake and blow out some candles!

Saturday...we had a different kind of party - only her friends and was a totally different feel to any party we've had. It was very fun and very sweet. I wanted to invite more loved ones, more friends, new friends but we had to keep it small and keep it pretty inexpensive (you know how it is).
We had a Tinkerbell bouncy house of course, some juice boxes and really cool cupcakes - green spray food coloring and purple sugar on top of handmade buttercream frosting with Tinkerbell decoration on top! I was so proud. The kids liked them too. Molly's friends:
Twins Haley and Danielle, took swim class together at Belmont Pool
Taylor - friends from Mrs. Hart's class at Oakwood Academy
Grace - friend from her Kindergarten class
Josh (and brother Nathan) - Molly's "boyfriend" from Rainbow School
Claire (and sister Audrey Mae) - from Rainbow School and her mom and I had yoga class together
Nico - known him since he was born 3 years ago
Andreas - also known him since he was born - 5 years ago (they were born 3 days apart). I used to work with his dad Nick and we all had Baby Readiness classes at LB Memorial together AND now Andreas & Molly go to the same school (Andreas is a different room)

They all brought her fabulous gifts and it was so cute, she just opened them as she received them. The big gift came after everyone had gone home...a brand new big girl bike...pink with white wheels. She LOVES it and is getting to be a pro on it.

I hope she never forgets this one. Special thanks to Gramma Ata & Cappy, Auntie Bo & Gramma Bev - without you this isn't possible.  We love you so much. The girls love you so much. It's love all around.

Molly Bell born October 7, 2005 at 12:21pm. 9lbs, 11oz. Arms fully and legs fulled stretched out. I had no idea what I was really in for then. You will always be my baby.
